Written by Ty.

I’ve written magazine articles, editorials, and even scripted some of my podcasts (the Ty that Binds Podcast – available everywhere – NEW episodes coming soon!) That all changed for me when the CEO of the Wake Tribune, RC, contacted me for some content.

Easy enough, I thought. It doesn’t pay too well; but help a pal when I can, was my thought. It was a feather in my cap that the big boss man asked personally for some help. This was going to help us both. Keep my pen on the paper, and contribute to a worthy site. Win/win for all parties involved.

On a personal note, I am as dependable as an old Chevy truck. As Abe Simpson once said about the legendary Johnny Unitas, “there is a haircut you can set your watch to!” That’s me…I am the haircut.

But, as a budding and creative journalist, I can’t seem to be counted on at all! I have already missed two deadlines. If I don’t shape up professionally, I might get axed. Those copper pennies I get paid per click don’t amount to much. As meager as the supplementary income is, it does all add up.

Maybe I need some motivation? Perhaps a spark of creativity is in my future? All I know is that I am sitting here writing about writing. I have lived an eventful life, maybe I lean into that a bit more? I suppose it can only go up from here!
