Crowds erupted in cheers during a Fuquay Varina town council meeting as the new mayor announced his plans for the hostile takeover of Holly Springs. The details of the conquest are sparse, but the mayor said Holly Springs has 2 months to cede over 75% of the town’s land. The mayor said, “I want to give them the opportunity to avoid war, but I really hope they choose to go down in a blaze of glory. When we’re done, we’ll rename the area THE CITY OF FUQUAY SPRINGS.” Fuquay’s Town council is on board with the plan as long as Fuquay doesn’t take the part of Holly Springs with the landfill because quote “eww, who wants that in their town.”
